I Peter 4:10 tells us “God has given each of us a gift from His great variety of spiritual gifts. Use them well to serve one another.”
 
The Evangelism Team is working, with God’s help, to focus on Evangelism at WPC. Team members are *Susan Judge; *Holly Hubbard; *Connie Dailey; *Mary Corley; *Denny Layne; *Aaron Taylor; Chris Leonard; *Barbara & George Park, co-chair, *Len & Lynn Bornemann, co-chair.

Live After Five: The Westminster tent was at the July 8th event sharing smiles, lemonade & face painting in Uptown Greenwood. Our next scheduled date is November 11th.  Prison Ministry at the McCormick Correctional Facility, spearheaded by Van Taylor: The final Orientation for 2010 is set for September 4th. Orientation is required every three years. Contact George Park at 223-0114 or gbpark@geoseed.com if you plan to attend the September Orientation.  
Westminster worshipped with folks at McCormick on August 8th. The next scheduled worship service is Sunday, October 3rd at 5:30. Contact Lynn Bornemann, George Park or Van Taylor for additional information.

Senior Outreach: We are leading devotional services at Magnolia Manor on fourth Sundays each month. Services include devotional, prayers, Bible reading and music. We currently have four volunteer teams: Youth; Men; Women and Mixed. If you would like to help with devotional service at Magnolia Manor, contact Susan Judge or Lynn Bornemann. If you would like to serve by reading to residents, contact Susan Judge. If you would like to help with Wednesday morning Devotionals at Ashley House, contact Toni Sample. We can certainly use more folks with this ministry.

Bring-a-Friend Sunday was held during Advent. Be thinking about whom you might invite to visit WPC with you this year. *Also remember that they can be invited anytime.

During CommUniversity at Lander University, Westminster welcomes students with smiles and goodies. This year’s event is September 8th.

Westminster also sponsors Kidzwalk, Christian devotionals for children, in the Index Journal.

One of the newer ministries is the “Love One Another- Pass It On – Caring Card” ministry that involves everyone in our congregation. This is an opportunity to give the message of God’s love, encouragement and hope to others and to suggest they also “Pass It On”. Toni Sample and the Youth have been working together designing cards and also occasionally on Youth-designed bulletin covers. Thank you, Toni and Youth!

New Faith Presbyterian, our Presbytery’s New Church Development here in the Greenwood area,continues doing well with lots of excitement. They will be hosting a ‘Friends and Family’ worship service on Sunday, September 26th, at 3:00 pm. All are invited.

EVANGELISM OPPORTUNITIES AT WESTMINSTER
 
            The next orientation for Westminster’s prison ministry will be September 4. This will be the final orientation for 2010. Orientation is required every three years. Contact George Park (223-0114) for details. Westminster worshipped with folks at McCormick Correctional on August 8. The next worship is Sunday, October 3at 5:30 p.m.
 
            Westminster will be welcoming Lander University students at CommUniversity, on September 8.
 
            Devotional Services and Wednesday Readings continue at Magnolia Manor and weekly Devotionals continues at Ashley House. We would love to have you join us. Contact Lynn Bornemann (229-7744, lynnbornemann@yahoo.com) for details.
