Cub Scout Pack 154
The new year of Scouting for Pack 154 is off to a great start with almost 40 Cub Scouts actively involved! For perspective, there were only 7 Scouts active in Pack 154 in June 2005.
We have already enjoyed overnight camping and are making plans for field trips, the Pinewood Derby and the Greenwood Christmas parade. We expect to earn the Centennial Quality Unit Award again for 2009.
We have almost concluded our annual fall popcorn sale to raise funds for our activities which included selling at various retail locations around Greenwood in addition to door-to-door sales.
Several of Pack 154's Scout Leaders returned from last year. The new Cubmaster for the Pack is David Rosenbaum and Jon Bassett is the Assistant Cubmaster.
Westminster Presbyterian Church (WPC) members, Chris Dunford and Mary Ann Edwards, are leading approximately 20 energetic second graders as the Wolf Cub Den Co-Leaders. If you know of a boy in grades 1-5 who would enjoy Cub Scouts, please contact Chris Dunford at 227-9168 for more information.
Pack 154 meets at WPC every Monday evening (except for holidays) starting at 7:00. Financial assistance is available to families in need.
Every boy deserves the opportunity to be a Scout! If you are a former Scout or Scout Leader, or if you are a supporter of Scouting, please consider joining our Pack Committee. Committee members serve as volunteer advisors to the Scout Leaders.
Cub Scout Pack 154 truly appreciates the support of WPC in giving us a Scouting "home." We thank you and we promise to live the Cub Scout Motto: "Do Your Best."
