Dr. Chris Leonard

Pastor
Chris has served the Westminster Presbyterian family as the head of staff since January, 2004.  He previously served the Second Presbyterian Church in Knoxville, TN as associate pastor for six years.  He is a native of Morganton, NC and holds degrees from Appalachian State University, Union Theological Seminary, and Erskine Theological Seminary.  Chris is married to the former Debbie Myers and has two boys; Nicholas and William.  He enjoys cooking, tennis, taxiing his boys around town, and anything that is particularly “southern.”

Rev. Debby Plumstead Marshall

Associate Pastor
Deborah Plumstead Marshall has been an associate at WPC since May, 2008.  She has previously served in Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, and North Carolina as a pastor, hospice chaplain, and teacher on the Marine Base for Coastal Carolina Community College.  Debby is married to Don, also a PCUSA pastor, and they have three boys, two dogs, and three cats.  She loves being at Westminster and enjoys jogging, reading novels, and being at the beach.

Leigh Gambrell

Director of Music Ministries
Leigh has been on the staff at Westminster since August 2003 when she was hired as the church secretary. She held this position until January 2006 when, in addition to continuing her duties as financial secretary, she became the Director of Music Ministries. She has served as an organist, pianist, and music director at other churches in Greenwood since the age of 15. Leigh is married to Al Gambrell who is the organist at Westminster.

Kenny Price

Worship Leader - 2nd Service

Kenny is the Worship Leader for our contemporary worship service. He and a team of musicians/singers lead this service.  Kenny is responsible for working with the pastors to lead all of the “musical” aspects of the new service.  Kenny Price was raised in Hodges, SC & graduated from Greenwood High School and Lander University.

Kenny and his wife, Mundy, and children Charles, Mac & Benjamin are involved in the life of Westminster and are happy to be part of our church family. Kenny has been involved with the youth group and is ruling Elder, serving as co-chair of the Worship Team.  

Nancy Hatfield

Church Secretary
Nancy joined the staff at Westminster in January, 2006 as church secretary.  Since coming to Greenwood in 1988, she has also served at North Side Baptist Church and Harris Methodist Church.   She grew up in Inman, SC, graduated from Chapman High School, and received her associate degree in secretarial science from Anderson College, where she also met her husband, Mike.  She and Mike have been blessed with four children and seven grandchildren.  Nancy enjoys camping, walking, especially on the beach or a mountain trail, reading, and jumping in the truck and heading  to Spartanburg or Maryland to visit her family.

David Hubbs

Seminary Intern

A recent graduate of Erskine College, David is now a first-year student at Erskine Theological Seminary.  He joins the Westminster staff as seminary intern to work with children and youth.  David loves fellowship around coffee or tea.  He also enjoys soccer, volleyball, and Frisbee.  In his free time he likes to play trumpet and piano, both of which he claims he does “decently well.”  David has grown up in the church, and has been a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Florence since confirmation class (6th grade)

Organist
Al has been the organist at Westminster since May 2004. He has been a church organist since the age of 15 and has served several other churches in Greenwood. Al is a National Board Certified elementary school teacher and teaches third grade at Merrywood Elementary School.
Margaret Moore
Margaret Moore
Parish Nurse
Margaret is a Registered Nurse, a graduate of Greenville General Hospital School of Nursing and has worked at Self Regional Healthcare since 1984.  She has experience in medical and surgical nursing.  Most of her time at Self was in the Neonatal Intensive Care Nursery with 13 years in management as the Nursing Director of that unit.  She is retired but continues to work occasionally in outpatient surgery and volunteers for Hospice Care of the Piedmont.  She is married to Stan Moore and enjoys grandchildren, traveling, fishing, kayaking, but mostly working with people and being available to assist with health care needs.

James Williams has been at WPC for fifteen years.  Prior to his employment with us, he served the local Greenwood community for thirty years as a school teacher.  James is married to Juanita and they have one grown child.  He currently serves on the school board and in his free time loves to play golf.

Ernest Jones joined the WPC family in 2011.  He is a native of Greenwood and in his spare time enjoys riding horses, motorcycles, and working in the garden.
